Selma Burke PTSO
Selma Burke’s PTSO is a group that facilitates collaboration among parents, teachers, and students. Here are some common functions and roles of our PTSO:
- Fostering Communication: They serve as a bridge between the school administration and families, ensuring that important information is effectively communicated.
- Organizing Events: The Selma Burke PTSO organizes school events, fundraisers, social activities, and educational programs to enhance our community.
- Supporting Teachers and Students: The Selma Burke PTSO provides financial and volunteer support for classroom activities, school projects, and extracurricular programs.
- Fundraising: One of their main activities is raising funds to support various school needs, such as purchasing equipment, funding field trips, or enhancing school facilities.
- Advocacy: They advocate for the needs and interests of the students and school community, often participating in school board meetings or other forums where decisions are made.
- Building Community: By creating opportunities for parents, teachers, and students to interact outside of the classroom, they help build a strong sense of community within the school.
